Accompanist

Annie Akung Woo is a versatile ballet pianist with a deep passion for supporting the art of dance through music. Akung Woo holds a DMA degree in Piano Performance from USC's Thornton School of Music. With a background in classical piano performance and extensive experience accompanying ballet classes and rehearsals, Dr. Woo brings sensitivity, rhythm, and an intuitive connection to movement in every note played.

Having collaborated with dancers of all levels—from young students to pre-professionals and seasoned performers— Dr. Woo has a keen understanding of tempo, phrasing, and the unique musical demands of ballet technique. Their repertoire spans classical, romantic, and improvisational styles, creating dynamic atmospheres that inspire artistry and precision in dancers.

Currently based in Los Angeles, Dr. Woo continues to work closely with choreographers, teachers, and students to elevate the studio experience through thoughtful and responsive musical accompaniment.
